About your registration

Hotels.nl is the second largest hotel booking website in the Netherlands. Each month, our website welcomes over 1 million visitors. We have been active on the Dutch online hotel market since 2001. Thanks to extensive radio and television campaigns, our brand awareness has grown by more than 70%. As a result, more than 1 million people have already booked a hotel room through Hotels.nl.

Working together with Hotels.nl!

Hotels.nl has a user-friendly interface and it is easy to edit your details, open and close rooms, load prices etc at any given time. You can enter a different price or availability for each day and each room type. The interface can be connected to, for instance, Smarthotel, Hotel Concepts and Rate Tiger.
Hotels.nl has an advanced system for statistics, which gives you all kinds of information about your bookings.
You (the hotel owner) have the option to change the information on your hotel page yourself, (such as photos, prices, contact details etc.), as long as they are in accordance with the Hotels.nl guidelines and corporate house style.
Hotels.nl works with a 'no cure, no pay' principle. If we don't generate bookings for your hotel, you don't pay us a penny. We charge a 12% commission over all realised bookings. Naturally, if guests cancel their booking the commission amount will not be charged.
You can edit the guarantee and payment methods guests can use to make a booking.

Important information before you register your hotel

Hotels.nl does NOT work on request.
All participating hotels should keep the availability of their rooms up-to-date themselves. This can be done through a user-friendly interface.
Once a month, you will receive an overview of all bookings Hotels.nl has made for you. This overview needs to be checked and edited, if necessary, and returned to Hotels.nl within 10 days. After 10 days you will receive an invoice. All bookings that have not been edited will be invoiced.
Please read the Terms and Conditions thoroughly.
It might take about 3 weeks before your registration is taken up, since the Accountmanagement department is very busy at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

By Hotels.nl we mean: Hotels.nl B.V., registered under number 02078962 with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Groningen, the Netherlands. By the hotel we mean: the hotel that has registered for the Hotels.nl website and provides Hotels.nl with hotel details for inclusion on the website of Hotels.nl.
Hotels.nl is not responsible for updating prices, availability and the cancellation policy. Claims regarding mistakes in prices and/or closed dates will always be the responsibility of the hotel.
The hotel cannot deviate from the indicated prices. Apart from any excluding costs for breakfast and/or tourist tax, the hotel cannot charge the guests extra booking fees, surcharges or other costs. The hotel is also not allowed to change the room price once a booking has been made.
The hotel is bound not to offer lower rates than the rates published on Hotels.nl anywhere else on the Internet, with the exception of the hotel's own website. This applies to the basic room rate. Publishing the same rates on other websites is fully allowed.
The hotel does not have to pay Hotels.nl a fee to be included on the Hotels.nl website. Hotels.nl also does not charge the hotel for updating / changing the general information about the hotel.
The information about the hotel, which is published on the Hotels.nl website, should be in accordance with the Hotels.nl guidelines. It is not allowed to publish a telephone number or link to the hotel's website, or to refer to other websites. The hotel is always responsible for making sure that the information about the hotel on the Hotels.nl website is correct and up-to-date, including photos and the hotel's cancellation policy. Hotels.nl has the right to rewrite, translate and standardise texts the hotel has supplied in accordance with the Hotels.nl house style.
The hotel guarantees Hotels.nl that it has the copyright of the texts supplied by the hotel for publication on the Hotels.nl website. The hotel indemnifies Hotels.nl for all claims by third parties with regard to intrusion of these copyrights.
A minimum commission percentage of 12% is charged over the total price of all bookings made through the Hotels.nl booking system (regardless whether the prices include breakfast, tourist tax etc. or not). 19% VAT will be charged over the agreed commission. Hotels.nl reserves the right to charge a higher commission percentage, if in its opinion there is cause to do so.
Every first working day of the month, the hotel will receive a monthly overview by e-mail of all bookings realised in the previous month. This overview needs to be edited / checked online, no later than the 10th day of each month. All bookings that have not been edited before 17:00 on the 10th day of the month will be invoiced. After the 10th of the month, it is not possible to make any changes in the monthly overview of bookings realised in the previous month. Hotels.nl would like to point out that when the hotel agrees with these general terms, the hotel also unconditionally agrees that no changes can be made in the monthly overview after the 10th. Fraudulent changes in the monthly overview / the commission claim will result in the removal of the hotel from the Hotels.nl website and legal action.
If the hotel misuses the systems or bookings made through Hotels.nl in any way, Hotels.nl reserves the right to remove the hotel from its website. This will happen in case it is established that the hotel advises guests to cancel bookings the guest has made through Hotels.nl, in order to book directly with the hotel, and in case it turns out that the hotel cancels a booking(s) in the monthly overview, when in fact the guest(s) did stay at the hotel. Hotels.nl also reserves this right in case it turns out that a hotel makes fake bookings in order to positively influence its own review score.
The commission will be invoiced based on the monthly overview the hotel has (or has not) edited. The invoice is sent to the hotel via e-mail.
All invoices should be paid within 15 days after the invoice date. Hotels.nl reserves the right to charge 15% interest on invoices that are not paid on time. In case of late payment, a claim can be laid to collection fees to the amount of 15% of the sum total as well.
Hotels.nl does not work 'on request'. Hotels.nl does not ask the hotel in advance if they can accept a booking or not. Hotels.nl automatically sends a confirmation e-mail of the booking to the guest as soon as the booking has been completed. Hotels.nl is explicitly not responsible for complaints / claims from guests who have booked through the Hotels.nl website and for whom the hotel does not have rooms available.
If a guest has guaranteed a booking with a credit card, the hotel will not charge this credit card, unless the cancellation policy was not observed, or if the guest has explicitly asked the hotel to do so, or when a special offer has been booked with the condition that the hotel is authorised to charge the credit card immediately for the full amount of the booking. The hotel can pre-authorise the guest's credit card before the guest arrives, to no more than the total sum of the booking, to make sure that the credit card is valid and the credit card limit is adequate. Hotels.nl is not responsible for any loss if guests do not show up (no show).
The hotel will guarantee that all information it receives from Hotels.nl, such as personal data and credit card details of guests, will be treated confidentially.
By virtue of the cooperation between Hotels.nl and the hotel, the hotel commits itself to Hotels.nl and guests booking through Hotels.nl, to always respond to questions and complaints of guests correctly and on time.
Hotels.nl can end this agreement immediately and without further notice in the following cases: - In case the hotel does not fulfil its financial obligations to Hotels.nl. - In case the hotel is in suspension of payment or bankrupt, or when a request for this has been filed or will be filed in court. - If the hotel does not meet the obligations as defined in these general terms. - If, in the opinion of Hotels.nl, Hotels.nl has sound reasons to do so as a result of the attitude and actions of the hotel. Any outstanding invoices are immediately due when this agreement is terminated and will be immediately charged with a surcharge of 15%.
In case of a take-over of the hotel by a third party, if suspension of payment has been granted to the hotel, or if the hotel has been declared bankrupt, Hotels.nl explicitly reserves the right to cancel all bookings that have not taken place yet free of charge and to transfer these bookings to a hotel of Hotels.nl’s choice.
The hotel has to inform Hotels.nl on time about a take-over of the hotel by a third party. A take-over of the hotel does not relieve the hotel and/or the third party that takes over the hotel of its obligation to pay all invoices from Hotels.nl on time.
