Rene Goedkoop Stayed at a dump
5.8
+ Central location, walking opportunity
- Very outdated interior, looks like a mid-fiftees (last century) dump. Wireless did not work with iPad simply because one needs to go through the ethernet network first (very outdated). Get rid of the dirty carpets and be more colorful.
Elly Good value business or weekend hotel
9.8
+ a good deal was had price-wise by internet; excellent breakfast, nice room, cleanliness, good location close to Utrecht centre and canals. We were very satisfied.
- I was without a laptop; hall computers were slow and internet fee was too high. There should be no fee at all for these old computers - the 15 min free allowed me to send one mail.
Anonymous Handy for the station and airport
6.2
+ Good location with luggage room Very helpful and friendly reception staff
- Over-priced for what you get No free WIFI Breakfast price: extortionate Bathroom was a bit scruffy

Pauline Allen Not up to standard for 132E, does not offer value for money
5.6
+ Near station
- Stayed 4 nights as working evhibition nearby, ask for room to be moved 701, softest bed ever, husband with bad back slept on floor, no tioletries were in room do not expect for 132 E a night to bring soap very basis! stayed Ibis for 59E in Antwerp better value for money
Carla Verhoeven Centraal gelegen hotel
7.4
+ Centraal gelegen, bij Theater, stad en Jaarbeurs
- Je kon er geen raam openen, geen frisse lucht, wij slapen altijd met een raam open. In de gangen was het ook erg dompetig
Anonymous Very happy with my choice of Hotel in Utrecht
8.6

9.2
+ Very friendly, helpful and comfortable hotel
Anonymous Very disappointed!! OLD, overpriced and outdated hotel!!
3.4
+ Short distance from the train station.
- The guy in the reception was really unprofessional and quite rude. Be Aware!! The rooms are really outdated, and has a ugly yellowish color. The standard is OLD. No wonder they don't have much pictures of them, you simply get the wrong impression. The lightning lamps are from the 1960's. The rooms don't even has a ceiling light. The air-conditioning in our room couldn't be switched off. The TV has only a few channels, in a "snowing-quality". Restaurant is Expensive!! I was thirsty when we arrived and I had to pay 8EUR for 0,7L water(!). Worst ripoff in my life. Bad smell in the whole hotel, corridors where worn out with lots of marks on the walls. Does not deserve a 4 star, very overpriced. Disappointed.
Magnus Furøy Great hotel. 5 minutes walk to the event site!
7.8
+ We had some trouble with a fight on Friday night, and one of your employes at the reception showed excellent service! She was a woman, but I didnt manage to get her name. She deserves a lot of credit!
- The same night there also was a man working. He was rolling with his eyes, had a really bad attitude and surely shouldnt work at a hotel!

7.6
+ Location and view are superb. Breakfast buffet was above normal. Monitored luggage storage is a welcome advantage.
- A hotel this height really could use some advanced control systems for their elevators. It's annoying to stand seven people, crammed together, and just looking at other people that would've liked to enter. Perhaps a non-beige paintjob on the floors would be appropriate.
Abbas Tafida WONDERFULL EXPERIENCE
10
+ good and spaciouse room and really good cooking
- I HAD EXPECTED EASIER LINK TO TRAIN STATION
neofytos christodoulides
7.2
+ very good service from front office
- room service for 24 outside tray still not clean you have much problem in restaurant at rush hours in breakfast I understand a bit but I work for 20 years about as Restaurant Manager for many 4 and 5 stars Hotels you need much improvement to your catering service
Steven Howorth Not a pleasant experience
4.2
+ Near to public transport so you can leave easily
- 4th Floor and room smelt awful. There is no way you can say that my stay was good value for money. The website misrepresents the rooms - the rooms are old, rundown, and smell. I travel away for business alot and have loyalty cards with Intercontinental, Hilton and Marriot. I rarely take part in surveys as usually I am indifferent about my stays i.e. they satisfy my needs but on this occassion I though I must reply as I felt that I have paid far to much for my stay - NH Hotels delivered well below my expectations - even having stale cornflakes as part of my in the 20 Euros! breakfast. Unless I am compensated in some way I will not stay in NH hotels again (if I can help it).
Rua Samuels Gr8 weekend away in Utrecht!!
10
+ Very friendly staff and handy location within the city centre... especially if you want to walk to cafe's, town, station (catching a.. and/or arriving from a train/bus) and the buffet breakfast was TOPS!! (especially for a kiwi guy with a huge appetite!!). the "bike-hire" shops were just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Checked out the fitness room in the hotel and thought it was good but weekend escapes are for "breaks from workouts" got all the workout i needed walking between cafe's!!hahahaha . Booking by Hotels.nl made my last minute search/booking sooo easy in many ways taking away my typical "lastminute panick" and with the special prices... gr8!!!
- Don't have any negatives ... becos if you can lay your head on a pillow knowing things are run smoothly/ are clean/ there are helpful staff then you have a good sleep which makes the next day very pleasant indeed :)
Federica Alderighi Nice and comfortable
9.4
+ nice, clean, comfortable.
- some people of the staff were bad. we had some problems.
Andrew Night in Utrecht
9.6
+ Right next to train station, in the centre of town. Food great, bed great, friendly and helpful staff.
Björn Expected better service.
6.4
+ Clean and nice room for a good price. Location very close to the Central Train station.
- At completing check-in I asked the receptionist to have a taxi ready for us in 15 min, since we were running late for a dinner appointment. When we came down from the room 15 min later she hadn't even ordered the taxi for us, so we had to wait another 15 min! Turns out the restaurant was so close to the hotel that it would've been faster walking. No maps were available to us in the reception though...
Roland Claesson Good hotel with lousy elevators as only but very irritating problem
8.2
+ Location and friendly staff
- You really must do something to the elevator system it's a joke in the morning and afternoon when the elevator stops at every floor despite the fact that the elevator is full on the way up or down
Sandra Giaquinto Enough for work
7.2
+ very nice people working there
- some improvement to be done for the decoration in the rooms
Eric Bernier
6.2
+ well located. Fairly clean and comfortable
- Got a smoking room which made my stay disappointing.
Terence Johnson Mr
7.8
+ Hotel reception is very welcoming
- I think its getting a bit expensive
Brian
7.6
+ Rooms are nice, and the hotel is very central right beside the train station. Double beds, big Plus in NL!
- The hotel itself is quite old, and the corridors are a bit dated and shabby
Ian M Centrally located hotel with a good breakfast
9.0
+ Very close to the station and Jaarbeurs. Friendly staff and great views from the rooms on the higher floors. The breakfast (included in the special price for the room which makes a nice change!) was also good. Large room with kettle and flat screen TV.
- The decor was a little dated, but nothing else of note. Some people seemed unable to operate the lifts, just stick your keycard in the slot until the light turns green!
Richard Good quality, parking unusually expensive
7.0
+ Good location near train station and center of city but nevertheless quiet.
- Parking in Utrecht (hotel and otherwise) is overpriced, currently costing as much as 29 EUR per day depending upon location. (This hotel reported a rate of 22 EUR for guests at the structure next door which normally charges 24 EUR/day.) Since this is a substantial added daily expense, this information needs to be added to the hotel description so that it can be factored into total cost in advance.
Anonymous The best place in Utrecht
10
+ Very quiet Very good breakfast The best serving staff
- no
I. Mcalonie Good central position close to Station and link to Airport.
9.0
+ Hotel was very central to Station and link to airport also close to the Record fair we attended .All staff very friendly and helpful.
- Thought breakfast was a bit expensive and dinner menu was very limited.
Anonymous Great location but occasional service glitches
7.6
+ When room service made an error, they were quick to correct it, bringing me my breakfast within 10 minutes.
- I left a card on my door at 11pm for room service breakfast in the morning and it was still there the next day, so no breakfast arrived!
GEORGINA A reasonable hotel - with some reservations
7.0
+ room was fine spacious with comfortable beds good sound proofing good range of food provided for the full breakfast
- the cooked breakfast was completely cold on both mornings - even though we had it early. The warming burners weren't lit. the shower in the bath - no separate shower - was fixed no comfortable sitting/meeting place in the foyer
IROZ
8.6
+ - free internet for 15 minutes - private parking
- - check in is too late (3 pm) - we strongly regret the closing of the Railroad Bar at the top
CM Overall good
8.4
+ Bar
- Slowest lifts on the planet. Not good for a 20 floor building. Should drop Swisscom and supply complimentary wifi (lose the soap if necesary).
Anonymous
8.0
+ good location, good breakfast
- room key worked bad, had to change this two times during my stay. No possibility to open a window. Overall it was very warm in the hotel, e.g corridors and elevators.
Terence Johnson
9.2
+ very helpful reception desk
- No free internet access. I beleieve the service should be provided just as electricity, water and national TV is provided in the room. It is no longer a "wow" factor to have it there. Its an irritant when its not there.
Hugh
7.8
+ It is very well situated for the Exhibition Hall across the road and also has a good lock up garage area.
- It is expensive (155 euros plus 14 euros for breakfast) for 1 person.
Adrian
8.2
+ Location, close to the train station
- Materase, heating noise
Anonymous
4.8
+ Location is very good, rooms are comfortable.
- reception staff is not very friendly or helpful, my room was not really clean (for instance there was still coffee in the coffeemugs), it was clear that housekeeping had done a rushjob. Nobody helped with the suitcase.
Esther
8.8
+ The hotel is just a few meters far from the train station of Utrecht, as well as the Jaarberus premises. It was a very big and comfortable room and everything was clean. In addition, when we arrived late in the night we had problems with de card key but the hotel staff was kind and fast in solving that problem. It was a pity to have no enough time to enjoy more the bedroom!
- In a double room, as usual, the beds are separated. You can ask for one big bed but that increase the price.
Felix Bock
9.2
+ Option of lazy sunday, ice-machine on several floors, good service
- car-parking is a little bit complicated and expensive but works
Mark Burgess
9.2
+ I like very much the bathroom products and the size of the rooms.
- People are still allowed to smoke in public spaces in the NL. I can never get used to that.
C. Roele
8.6
+ Near railway station and town centre. Nice view
- None
H.A. de Pater
7.8
+ Nice room, everything available, clean, good breakfast, central location.
- TV signal was not very well and my wife and I perfer showercabins but in most hotels on this level there is a bath with showercurtains. What we do not like because this curtain always want a shower too when you're under the shower (I hope you understand what I mean). But I have to say this looks a clean showercurtains.

7.6
+ Location
- Smoking room smell
IROZ
8.0
+ free internet access for 15 minutes
- 1) Railroad Bar was closed and it is a bad decision 2) to go in the garage, we need to go at reception first to have the password, it is not convenient
Magnus
7.6
+ Very good location close to the Jaarbeurs. Very helpful staff when I arrived.
- The cleaning staff, at least the one doing my room, didn´t speak English. Very narrow shower and also the toilet was placed in a way that makes it hard to sit comfortably. No breakfast included in the room price and no free parking.
Mr Tapani Turunen
8.8
+ Room was very nice. I was happily surprised while your hotel did have those "traveller's toothbrush" etc. goods. They are really needed nowadays when air travelling is somewhat difficult with handbaggage only.
irene Williams
7.4
+ restaurant staff are charming and longstanding staff members, which is unusual.
- We have stayed here for 10 years and find it convenient for Jaarbeurs. The real disappointment this time was the colour and condition of the bathroom towels. They were very old and looked grey NOT white
