Surroundings

Valkenburg is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the province of Limburg, which is not surprising. The castle ruins and the marl caves are especially famous. De Wilhelminatoren watch-tower and the Roman catacombs are also worth a visit. Valkenburg has become known as a veritable health resort due to the Thermae 2000 thermal baths, at the top of De Cauberg hill. It is also possible to explore the beautiful surroundings, either by bike or on foot. Cities such as Maastricht, Aachen and Liège can easily be reached from the hotel.

  • – Very noisy until the early hours (4am) from people leaving the taverns. No air conditioning. Additional payment for car park of 12 euro
  • * my tip It is in a decent location, however, it is more suited to the young people who will be out until the early hours enjoying a drink and who don't mind if they do not get much sleep.

  • + Good location. Road connection to Maastricht via the country side is clear of the traffic jam which you experience on A2 during the rush hours.

  • + Right in the center in the city where I was born. Next to all the activities in the center of town.
  • – It was a hot day and there is no airco - which is not so uncommon in Holland, but summers tend to become warmer.
