Description

The comfortable NH Hotel Zandvoort is located directly on the broad sandy beach, across from the Zandvoort race track. The hotel has its own Beach Bar and restaurant. In the centre of Zandvoort you may find many fun shops and atmospheric cafés.

The 4-star NH Hotel Zandvoort is located on the beach and is only a 30-minute drive from Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport. The hotel has its own parking facilities and is easily accessible by bus or train.

The hotel has room service, a laundry facility, a children's playground, and a Beach Bar and restaurant. In the rooms guests will have a safe, wireless Internet connection, cable television, and in-house movie channel (at an additional charge). The hotel also has 12 multifunctional conference rooms that can accommodate groups of up to 250 persons.

The former fishing town Zandvoort has an atmospheric centre. It is mostly known for its 9 kilometres of beaches, which have approximately 40 beach pavilions. The beach of Zandvoort also waves a blue flag: the symbol of a clean and safe beach.

Food and Drinks

The 'Breakfresh' breakfast buffet is served in weekdays from 07:00 to 10:00 h. and on Saturday and Sunday from 07:00 to 11:30 h. Restaurant Tethys, which has been decorated in Mediterranean style, can seat up to 250 persons. It is only 50 metres from the beach and the Zandvoort race track. The menu is a selection of dishes from all Mediterranean countries. In the atmospheric bar Chicane guests can have a nice drink. In the summertime guests can enjoy a nice seat on the terrace with the Beach Bar.

Internet

There is a wireless Internet connection in all rooms. There is also an Internet computer in the lobby. Guests can use both services at an additional charge.

Surroundings

Zandvoort has many historic buildings with beautiful gables, like the ''Raadhuis' (city council) and the 'Gasthuishofje' (courtyard with almshouses). The shops in the centre are also open on Sunday. Zandvoort additionally has a casino. For a nice drink guests can visit one of the 35 cafés in Zandvoort. The atmospheric shopping city Haarlem is also worth visiting and the world famous 'Keukenhof' (tulip fields) is a true tourist attraction in spring.

Deliveries (laundry and bakery vehicles)to the hotel early in the morning also cause severe disturbance, could these not be re-scheduled to later in the day??? The car parking system is expensive and should be free to guests staying more than two nights. One of the beds in our room was very noisy causing a restless sleep for the occupant.

Ik wou cappucino pakken, maar de automaat gaf aan dat de melk leeg was. ik sprak iemand aan, een vrouw met een pak aan, die liep mee, maar vertelde mij dat de melk niet op was, want dat zat er nog in, maar dat ik dan geen cappucino kon krijgen. Dit ging allemaal niet echt op een vriendelijke toon en het leek alsof de vrouw niet wist wat ze met de situatie aan moest. Liep er bij weg en vervolgens ontstond er een erg lange rij bij de machine omdat iedereen hetzelfde probleem tegen kwam. Even een uitleg, of zeggen dat je geen verstand hebt van de machine is al anders en misschien een briefje erop dat de melk op is, is duidelijk voor de andere gasten. Verdere was onze kaart niet meer geactivieerd, terwijl wij het 17 uur uitcheck-arrangement hadden. jammer dat dit dan niet bekend was bij de balie en schoonmaakpersoneel. Moesten weer naar de receptie, best lang wachten door anderen die gingen in en uitchecken, om onze kaart weer te activeren. Het zijn allemaal kleine dingetjes hoor en we hebben echt een leuk weekeind gehad. Ik hoop dat jullie er wat mee kunnen.
