Description

The 4-star NH Hotel Zandvoort is located on the beach and is only a 30-minute drive from Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport. The hotel has its own parking facilities and is easily accessible by bus or train.

The hotel has room service, a laundry facility, a children's playground, and a Beach Bar and restaurant. In the rooms guests will have airconditioning, a safe, wireless Internet connection, cable television, and in-house movie channel (at an additional charge). The hotel also has 12 multifunctional conference rooms that can accommodate groups of up to 250 persons.

The former fishing town Zandvoort has an atmospheric centre. It is mostly known for its 9 kilometres of beaches, which have approximately 40 beach pavilions. The beach of Zandvoort also waves a blue flag: the symbol of a clean and safe beach.

Food and Drinks

The 'Breakfresh' breakfast buffet is served in weekdays from 07:00 to 10:00 h. and on Saturday and Sunday from 07:00 to 11:30 h. Restaurant Tethys, which has been decorated in Mediterranean style, can seat up to 250 persons. It is only 50 metres from the beach and the Zandvoort race track. The menu is a selection of dishes from all Mediterranean countries. In the atmospheric bar Chicane guests can have a nice drink. In the summertime guests can enjoy a nice seat on the terrace with the Beach Bar.

Internet

There is a wireless internet connection in all rooms. There is also an Internet computer in the lobby. Guests can use both services at an additional charge.

- An additional bed can be placed in a Seaview room on request, at a charge of €30 a night.

Surroundings

Zandvoort has many historic buildings with beautiful gables, such as the Raadhuis and the Gasthuis almshouses. The shops in the centre are also open on Sunday. Zandvoort additionally has a casino. For a nice drink guests can visit one of the many cafés in Zandvoort. The atmospheric shopping city Haarlem is also worth visiting and the world famous show garden Keukenhof is a true tourist attraction in spring.

Anonymous Dissapointment: 7 June 2011; 3.8; + Size of the room; - Bathroom, it wasn't a 4 star bathroom at all. There was a lot of mold and they put a lot of glue over the mold. Very dirty! The bathroom was also very old and ruinous.

IAN SCOTT Right on the beach, ten minute walk to town centre and railway station: 21 November 2010; 8.0; + Right on the beach, clean, friendly, clode to railway station.; - Taxi's hard to find, no hotel taxi or traqnsp0ort meant I had to walk to the raillway station with luggage at 5am.

Anonymous Nice hotel, but go into town for a cheaper breakfast!: 10 October 2010; 8.6; + Beach location, clean, nice views, kettle in room (rare for a continental hotel)access to train and bus station, great hub to visit other locations such as Amsterdam (30 mins approx by train, The Hague (1hr approx by train), Haarlem (Within cycling distance), etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great eating locations in close proximity (Especially the Pizzeria 'Rimini' on the beach-front, lovely people, great food, budget prices, highly recommended) upgraded to a 'sea view' for free (usually 25 euro); - Breakfast is VERY expensive (19 euro!), double bed was two singles pushed together only connected by a hook at one end but worked well as a contraceptive device! Bed was uncomfortable. Spa facilities advertised were all chargeable, have to pay to have mini bar stocked (but it worked great as a fridge). They allow dogs (which is great if you have a dog, but not when they bark and run around the corridors)

Wim K NH Hotel als basis voor vrienden-weekend in Zandvoort: 5 October 2009; 8.0; + Hartelijke ontvangst, attente receptie, prima lokatie dicht bij centrum, strand en Kennemer Duinen. Ruime kamer, goede en gezellige bar, riant ontbijtbuffet en parkeren achter het hotel zorgen dat je je gauw thuis voelt.; - Prijs ontbijtbuffet €19 is wel wat hoog.

David: 29 June 2008; 7.4; + Very comfortable, very clean; - Checkin time was 1500 but I arrived on an early flight at 1000 and had to find something to do for the next few hours, which was very inconvenient. It would be good if the hotel could provide more facilities for people who arrive before 1500 - or even if there are rooms available or people who checked out early, to clean those rooms early and make them available early.

TAYLOR: 24 September 2006; 5.8; + The hotel staff on reception were very polite, courteous, attentive and professional. The breakfast and dinner catering was excellent. The situation of the hotel for us attending a race meeting at the race circuit is perfect.; - The hotel charges are expensive for the standard of accommodation. Level of noise suppression in the hotel is very poor. We were disturbed in the early hours of 23/09/06 by other guests talking in the corridor outside the lift. During the night of 24/09/06, thoughtless guests smoking in the room opposite set off the fire alarm at 03:00!!! This continued for 25 mins and was very annoying! Deliveries (laundry and bakery vehicles)to the hotel early in the morning also cause severe disturbance, could these not be re-scheduled to later in the day??? The car parking system is expensive and should be free to guests staying more than two nights. One of the beds in our room was very noisy causing a restless sleep for the occupant.

Kathy Meinen: 22 August 2006; 8.2; + Excellent breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. Excellent location close to the beach and close to the race track. The staff speak very good english and german, and a few spoke good french as well.; - The parking lot could be bigger. The restaurant was not fully functional on Sunday night (half of it was closed) so we could not get a table.

Marjolein Boer Prima locatie en heerlijk ontbijt: 4 November 2011; 7.4; + de entourage van de openbare ruimtes is erg mooi: strak en modern maar zeer sfeervol. En prima service van de ontbijtdames en -heer.; - de kamers zijn een schril contrast, en dat is jammer want ook op je kamer breng je tijd door. Verouderd, basic, maar zeker wel schoon en functioneel. Tip: als het hotel niet volgeboekt is, zou ik als service je gasten allemaal een zeezichtkamer geven. Zo leid je ze af van de inrichting. Het is een kleine moeite en een mooi gebaar, waardoor je de kans vergroot dat klanten terugkomen. (Nu keek ik uit op de parkeerplaats, waar 's morgens vroeg de vrachtauto's laden en lossen, met bijbehorende geluiden.)
