Hotel Figi combines a 4-star hotel with various facilities in a unique way. Besides hotel rooms, hotel Figi disposes over a theatre, movie theatre, espresso bar, restaurant, conference centre, and a theatre café. The hotel is located in the centre of Zeist, in the woody surroundings of the 'Utrechtse Heuvelrug' area.
Zeist lies in a woody environment that has the chain of hills 'De Utrechtse Heuvelrug' as its highest point. The 'Utrechtse Heuvelrug' has heaths, woods, and sands drifts and is perfect for those who enjoy walking or bike riding. Zeist is a medium-sized town with a characterful centre and a number of historic buildings. The ?Slotlaan? is the shopping street of Zeist and at the end of it lies ?Slot Zeist?, a castle. Both are within walking distance of the hotel.
Hotel Theater Figi is a member of Worldhotels, a carefully selected collection of hotels, spread out over 70 countries. The hotels are set apart by their unique style, high-quality service, and excellent facilities. In addition, Figi plays an important cultural role in Zeist. The theatre and the movie theatre have made the building a cultural centre. The hotel rooms are equipped with, among other things, a desk, Internet connection, mini bar, hair dryer, spacious bathroom, coffee and tea making facilities, and a sitting area. An iron and ironing board are available on request, as well as room service. The hotel can provide rental bikes, so that guests can fully explore the surroundings.
Food and Drinks
The extensive breakfast buffet is served between 06:30 and 10:00 h. on Monday through Thursday and from 07:00 to 10:30 h. on Friday through Sunday.
In 'Walkart Park Restaurant' guests can enjoy lunch and dinner in the atmosphere of a Parisian brasserie, while enjoying a nice view. The restaurant is open for lunch from 12:00 to 14:30 h. and for dinner from 18:00 to 22:00 h. Next to the restaurant is the Espresso Bar, where guests can enjoy a cup of coffee and a home made pie. There you?ll taste that the company started as a pastry shop some 150 years ago. The Espresso bar looks out on the square 'Het Rond' and the city hall of Zeist.

The hotel has wireless Internet. In the hotel rooms one can also use the connection through the television. The needed cards can be puprchased at the reception.

In Utrecht one can for example visit the 'Dom' tower or the 'Dick Bruna Huis', which is part of the 'Centraal Museum'. Dick Bruna is the creator of the picture book character Miffy.

- The hotel needs a fast check-out service. It should not be necessary to go through the whole checkout procedure at 5 AM in order to go to airport Schiphol, and experience problems that the credit card readers were not able to read all my credit cards. The hotel does have my credit card info from the moment we checked in.

In view of the existence of an ethernet cable in the room I should have been told that the internet card I purchased was for a wireless connection. This caused me a long delay in getting connected.

- Great location, nice facility. Friendly staff. Zeist is a nice town close to Utrecht. Utrecht is a great place to visit, better than Amsterdam to get to know Holland.

The fact that dogs are allowed in the restaurant. Nothing spoils a breakfast like a barking dog next to your table.

- De ontvangst is erg goed en de balie is optimaal bezet met vriendelijke mensen die je veel informatie kunnen verstrekken.
Het ontbijtbuffet is erg goed verzorgd.
Het personnel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Ook in het theatercafe heb ik heerlijk gegeten en ook daar was de bediening perfect.
De parkeergarage grenst vlak aan het hotel wat ook erg prettig is.

- Ons uitstapje naar Figi Zeist
- Keurige kamers, mooie badkamer, lift ruim, kortom niets mis mee. Leuke formule dat je binnendoor naar bioscoop/theater kunt en bovendien een gezellig theatercafe. Plus daarnaast nog een espressobar waar enkele van ons bridge hebben gespeeld. Prima ontbijt met charmante ober die er wat van maakt bij Figi.
- Het enige commentaar dat ik heb vernomen is de luidruchtige airco, maar dat is slechts door twee dames uit ons gezelschap als hinderlijk ervaren. De rest vond het geen probleem. (We waren met acht dames.)
