The building in which hotel De Koperen Hoogte is located, used to be a water tower that dates to 1932. After the tower had lost its original function, it was feared that this characteristic monument would be demolished. In 1993 the water tower came into the hands of a project developer who finally turned it into this unique and multifunctional centre. It now has an 18-hole golf course, a revolving restaurant, a luxury hotel, and a business centre. For anyone that ever travels along the A28 motorway between Hoogeveen and Zwolle this eye-catching building will be a familiar sight.
This luxury yet small scale hotel has 16 spacious double rooms and two suites. Personal attention is held high in this hotel. The tastefully decorated rooms are all equipped with a luxury bathroom with a double jacuzzi and a steam cabin. To make your stay even more accommodating, the rooms also have a home entertainment set with a DVD player and Dolby surround system, as well as air conditioning and a mini bar. The box spring beds are connected to each other and guarantee an excellent night's sleep. Hotel De Koperen Hoogte offers quality in a fantastic ambience, which has already resulted in many happily returning customers.

Great value, great restaurant, beds could be upgraded.
+
Great restaurants, shops, etc. Also a nice outdoor area.
–
Beds should be upgraded. They are a big disappointment after sleeping in king size beds in Marriott, Sheraton, Westin, etc. Water pressure in the shower could be better also.

Very nice hotel with super facilities and a real 'quality' feel. The rooms are lovely with very nice decor and super bathrooms!
I attended a wedding reception there and the service and catering were superb and the venue itself was very impressive.

TV selection is 'Canal+'? Not my favoured hotel option (no BBC1/2!). (Great TV and sound system though...)
And, something the hotel can do little about... my stay was spoiled (a little) by not being able to sleep too well due to the wild storm passing by with some very fierce winds making a great deal of noise!
